T-TYPE BASKET STRAINER: T-Type or Basket type or Pot type strainer is characterized by a vertically orientated chamber, typically larger than that of a Y-type strainer. Basket strainers are preferred for most liquid application because of its greater straining area and it has less pressure drop across, than that of Y-Type strainers. It also has larger capacity of dirt holding area than that of Y-type strainer, and it is used commonly on larger diameter steam pipelines.
